Jason Reeves Review - Victoria, MN

First off, let me start off by saying, this thing is AWESOME!!!

I was lucky enough to receive one of these by way of a local ice fishing contest, but after using it the last half of last season, I would not think twice about purchasing one if I was in need! I would like to see this brand grow because of the joy I have experienced using this drill, so here is my review...

Regarding the battery: I noticed that one of the popular alternatives in the market, Ion, states that they can "drill up to 40 holes through 2 feet of ice on a single charge".  I can tell you this, me and a buddy took this sucker out right after I go it (after a full charge of course) and drilled AT LEAST 40 holes (more like 50+) through approximately 18" of ice with the battery indicator still reading fully charged!!!!!! Honestly, I have yet to see it get lower than 3 out of 4 on the power indicator.  That was only because I decided to just not charge it for about a span of 3 weeks, fishing off and on during that time, just to see if I could get it worn down.  I would feel completely comfortable going on a weekend, or longer, fishing trip with this bad boy without fear of needing to find power for a charge or an extra battery.

The thing is solid, well built, cuts like a champ, it's quiet, the spotlight is a nice addition, light weight, and I can use it in the ice house without smoking out the crew!

The only things I would change about this auger is that I would like a carry case (to keep it pretty), and a 10" blade. That said, from what I understand, the bag/case is coming soon and so is a 10" upgrade (now available).
